Nature conspired to bring us the perfect Engagement portraits at Tulum! I traveled down to the boho-chic beach town of Tulum, two hours south of Cancun, for this photo shoot with engaged couple Carla and Jay, and everything was just perfect: the ocean, the sand, the jungle… and the huge smiles on the couple’s faces.
White, sandy beaches, crystal clear water and getting the whole family together for a vacation sounds like the perfect way to spend a birthday, especially with the added bonus of a photographer to capture those memories in a family portrait session. And the Riu Palace Peninsula family portraits couldn’t have been set in a more beautiful tropical location. What a way to spend a birthday!
This Romantic Boho Wedding in Tulum owns a super special place in my heart. Heather’s and Jeremy’s celebration was what you could say are #weddinggoals. They could not have chosen a better location for their venue: El Pez Hotel and the little “Casa Privada” as a place to get ready and have a dinner gave us the perfect backdrop and light for pictures!

It was amazing being part of this Iberostar Paraiso Maya Wedding! These two love birds sure know how to have fun and there was not a minute when they didn’t had a smile on their face! They flew all the way from Colorado to land in Playa del Carmen, and have the beautiful emerald color of the Caribbean as a backdrop for their pictures.
Marissa and Brandon decided to have a Dreams Puerto Aventuras Wedding for one very important reason:
“Brandon proposed to me at the Dreams Resort while we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary out on the pier where the ceremony of our wedding will be taking place. So the location is very sentimental for us as that is where we were engaged and now going back with our family to get married.”
Keili and David’s Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun Wedding was beautiful! I remember the warm light of October giving us the perfect setting for a ceremony by the beach. This loving couple contacted me just weeks before their wedding date. Why? Because they had been planning their special day in Los Cabos, but in 2014 it was hit by a hurricane and they had to move everything to the Eastern side of Mexico (We’ve been hurricane free for more than 10 years now!)
Cristina’s engagement ring sparkled, catching the sunlight throughout her engagement portraits in cancun on the white sand beaches. I met up with Cristina and Noel at Emporio Hotel, located in the southern part of the Cancun Hotel Zone, an area known for the incredible blues of its waters. The day was just right for a photo shoot on the beach, with amazing ocean colors and an array of fluffy clouds tinged with soft pinks and purples against a blue sky.
Kristen and Jason chose to celebrate their anniversary in Playa del Carmen and asked me to tag along for a romantic beach photo shoot to commemorate this wonderful occasion.
The big beach town of Playa del Carmen is located just one hour south of my home city of Cancun. Despite being so close, the two cities have completely different styles. I love the intense blues of the ocean at Cancun’s beaches, but Playa del Carmen’s laid-back style really draws me in whenever I visit.
