I am always beyond delighted when a couple contacts me requesting an anniversary session. All too often, couples capture engagements and weddings but forget that every year following is equally as momentous and equally worth commemorating. So, when Tamika and Tony reached out to book their Nizuc Resort Cancun Anniversary Portrait, even though I was flying home that same evening, there was absolutely no way I was going to say no!
When three gorgeous best friends (no really…are these three models?) and their equally beautiful families planned to travel together to a tropical paradise, was there really any better time to schedule family portraits? When Christin reached out to me, explaining that this would be their first trip together since they had all had children, I immediately picked up on how special this trip was going to be for them and was instantly excited to meet them to document a piece of their vacation in these best friends getaway in Puerto Aventuras portraits.
I was invited to photograph a Royalton Riviera Cancun Wedding on a brilliant July day. Dorota, the mother of the bride, had to fight back tears as she helped her daughter into a breathtaking wedding gown. “Be content in the moment knowing everything happens in divine time,” reads the elegantly scripted tattoo on the brides left shoulder blade, and nothing is more beautiful a wedding day sentiment than that.
The sky was dark, the morning birds were chirping, heralding the coming of the sun, and I was grabbing my camera and a very large coffee, headed out the door to an Isla Mujeres Engagement Portraits. When Paloma and Connor agreed to my crazy plan to beat the heat and the tourists by scheduling their engagement session at sunrise, especially as they were on a vacation, I was beyond thrilled to be working with a couple who was so willing to trust my vision

For a bride, the hours spent getting ready on the morning of her wedding should be a joyful time among friends, filled with laughter as the seconds tick away in that final countdown to Mrs. As a recent bride myself, I know that behind the best wedding days are months of planning and preparation.
While, unexpected and unavoidable hiccups can arise, there are so many things you can do ahead of time to ensure an enjoyable, stress-free experience while getting ready for your wedding…and come away with amazing pictures of the process!
Christine & Tyler’s Hyatt Ziva Cancun Destination Wedding was super emotional for me to photograph. The moment I walked into her room, I could feel all the love and joy from their family and friends, all together and united, ready to celebrate the marriage of two kind souls. They laughed, they danced, they cried (I cried behind my camera too!) and not even the rain during reception stopped them from smiling.
Where do I even begin to describe this Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun Wedding? Perhaps I will tell you how bride Laura put together a perfect, romantic look for her beach dream wedding: a jaw-dropping lace dress, a stunning greenery on their wedding aisle – or perhaps I’ll show you how they incorporated their cats into the names of their signature cocktails! (I already knew Laura was the coolest but this just made me want to be her bestie for life) … You know you want to click and view their gallery, so just do it!
