Today is children’s day, and I want to share with you this beautiful beach family portraits at the brand new Nizuc Resort and Spa! This was a very special ocasion for the family, celebrating the 5 year old birthday of Mylan and Lanvan. Mom thought on hiring a photographer and take back home the best gift of all: memories!
This time I was invited by my dear friend Melissa Mercado to tag along and photograph Ashley & Sean’s super chic destination wedding at Villa del Palmar . I had been before at this resort to photograph Claudia & Armando’s wedding two years ago. Villa del Palmar is known for their private beach and great acommodations, during the night the ligths from the main pool and surroundings give the perfect ambient to have a delicious dinner in one of their outdoor restaurants.
Lindsey and Tony found out a month ago they are expecting a baby girl, to celebrate it they decided to have some beach family photos. Mother Nature knew this was a special occasion and we got a beautiful golden sunset for us!
“I would LOVE a first look. But whitout him seeing me” Patricia told me in our first meeting when discussing her Wedding at Hotel B2B. The picture you’re seeing above? Yup, that was part of our first look plan!
The cab door opened and Christian got in; he told Andrea, a colombian beauty, he won’t leave until having her phone number. No wonder why my couples portrait photoshoot turned into a surprise beach engagement session!
“Do you want me to lift her?” Bolli asked me with a smile on his face. I grinned, replying quickly with a yes. Both giggled and looked to each other, while Carolina wrapped her arms around him “I think It’d be easier if I lift him!”
Debora and Miikka are one of the most romantic couples that I’ve had the chance to photograph. They got married on December 22nd and traveled to Mexico for a Cancun Honeymoon. When we met, they had this newly-wed glow around them, I knew this session was going to rock. The chemistry between Debora and Miikka was amazing! They could not stop looking and kissing each other. Debora is so sweet and genuine, with a smile always on her face, and Miikka, he is the reason of that smile.
Lately, I’ve had many brides interested in Mayan ceremony for their wedding, a perfect way to add part of the local culture to the celebration! Caterina and Julio wanted to have this unique experience in the turquoise beaches of Cancun. Through their on-site coordinator, they arranged all the details and the day went smoothly. I’ve already had the chance to photograph the Haugen’s beautiful family at this hotel, and knowing how the light would be, I advised to have the ceremony at 3:30 PM. I was so happy when Caterina believed in me! The photos turned out great!
During the Mayan Ceremony, she wore a flowers crown, given by the priest. He made different rituals: to have abundance in love, wealth, health, and to keep away jealousy and bad energy. After asking permission to the 4 cardinal points, and sharing their vows, Caterina and Julio, now husband and wife, finally shared a kiss. Shortly after papers were signed, we headed down to the beach to start a Trash The Dress session. Both had fun in the waves, hugging and tickling each other!
Tatiana and Adrian had been together for 6 years, but decided to get married and plan a cancun wedding in less than 3 months!
I met Tatiana during my working years at BestDay. She is a beautiful brazilian, super kind person, easy going, and always willing to help. I knew Adrián would be as kind as her! He didn’t stop smiling during the ceremony, always looking at her and how she seemed to glow that day. They choosed Hotel Flamingo as their venue, where family, and close friends, attended to celebrate their union as husband and wife. When it was time for the cocktail hour, I took them away and snap a few romantic shots. The sunset was almost over, but it gave us some beautiful pastel colors I’m in love with!
Parabens Tatiana and Adrián, may you have many adventures and happy years to come!
Ceremony and Reception Venue: Hotel Flamingo
