Chaya and Chesky’s JW Marriott Cancun anniversary portraits could not have been more gorgeous. Combine one of the most photogenic couples ever with a perfect blue ocean, and you get magic. But while the perfection of the photos on the beach would have been enough to make a great engagement session, the variety of locations offered by the JW Marriott, from a lifeguard shack to the restaurant hotel, gave me room for so much creativity.
The Travel Channel put together a list of the top ten vacation spots in the world, and, to nobody’s surprise, Cancun made the cut. As a destination photographer in one of the most popular vacation spots in the world, I have the opportunity to meet people from many different countries and backgrounds and at many different stages in life.
It is always so exciting, however, to photograph a newly engaged couple with their wedding, honeymoon, children and entire life together all ahead of them. I feel like I’m capturing the edge of all those possibilities in their engagement photo shoot, and what better place to take those pictures than at the edge of the shore by the ocean.
