Carine and her husband were staying in Cancun for a friend’s wedding and decided they also wanted to take this opportunity to do something really special. She was well into her pregnancy and is not like you can always have the chance of having the gorgeous turquoise sea as the backdrop for your Maternity Portraits.
Carine herself was nervous. She told me she has never been a fan of taking pictures so I knew she would need my help relax and enjoy the session. I suggested them a low key area in Playa Delfines on the Hotel Zone, where she wouldn’t have to worry about too many onlookers. I knew this decision was critical to make the soon-to-be-mother happy and let all the love flow through the pictures without her worrying. We started by walking along the beach, allowing them to get the feeling of my working style. Once they opened up, I knew the photo session was going to be a complete success, so even though the sky was a little cloudy, it did nothing to bring them down. It was like they were saying through the pictures, “We are a part of this force of nature!”.
Carine changed into a dress and decided she wanted to dip her feet in the waves. She had lots of fun, and I’m sure she will be a wonderful mother. This young couple in love were ready to face whatever the future will bring. They ended up having a blast and I’m happy they were delighted with the results.
