Tania and Joseph couldn’t have picked a better vacation spot! For this Isla Mujeres Romantic Portraits photo shoot, I took the ferry from Cancun to the nearby island of Isla Mujeres, and we made our way to the famous Playa Norte, or “North Beach” in English.
North Beach is considered by many to be the region’s best beach thanks to its calm, shallow and clear waters that feel like a giant swimming pool. It’s also one of the only beaches here where you can watch the sun set, so make sure to stick around until the evening if you’re ever on the island. Tania and Joseph wanted to commemorate their couple’s getaway with some romantic portraits, so we played around with some shots on the beach and on the docks.
I had a wonderful time shooting them, especially because Tania is such an elegant girl with plenty of style and a lovely gaze – perfect for pictures! Both of them also have some beautiful tattoos that they wanted to show off; as you can see, body art can add a truly unique and special touch to any photo shoot, so make sure to choose a wardrobe with cuts and colors that highlights your favorite tattoos. If you look closely, you can see the skyline of the Cancun Hotel Zone on the horizon in some of these pictures. Home, sweet home!
