Last weekend, I was invited to document this amazing Tulum Wedding at the Akiin Beach Club. It was Roberto’s and Marjolein’s big day, the day when their souls and hearts would become one. Sharing their love for travel, they met for the first time in Sweden, started a long distance relantioship for some years, until Roberto decided move to where his heart belonged: at Marjolein’s side, in Belgium. A couple of adopted kittens and years later, he finally popped the question in Japan.
Marjolein’s brother and his husband decided to have some fun during dinner: They would ask some questions, and however knew the answer had to run as fast as they could to win a Surprise card. This card had a mission for them to accomplish during the year: it was something they had to do for the newly married. A gift? Buying a massage for two? Helping with the grossery shopping? Only the winners know, and the best thing is Roberto and Marjolein have no idea when will happen. How. Cool. Is. That.?
This couple is a true example that love knows no distance, no boundaries, no time.
