The cab door opened and Christian got in; he told Andrea, a colombian beauty, he won’t leave until having her phone number. No wonder why my couples portrait photoshoot turned into a surprise beach engagement session!
We scheduled her session for New Years Eve. That way, the make-up she would be wearing could also be of use for her dinner party at Me by Meliá Cancun. Andrea asked me for a make-up artist I trusted and I instantly recommended Angie Velazquez, one of the best I know. If you are having some portraits done, I invite you to book a profesional make up-artist. Not only s/he will made you look beautiful, but you will feel MORE beautiful AND confident, the receipt to success!
When we met on the lobby and the first thing I noticed was Andrea’s beautiful smoky eyes and long, long hair. She and Christian looked handsome in their attires! A blue and pink palette were the colors of their choice. We walked to the beach and she told me the way they met: On a cab, just like in the movies. Christian laughed and told me he didn’t wanted cheesy photos and just like that we started the our beach session.
Half-way through the photoshoot, I was hesitant on asking Christian to grab Andrea and swing her around. I know we girls love that! But would that be too “romantic”? So I asked: “Just to be sure. You do not want ANY cheesy poses?” He looked at Andrea in the eyes and he made one big smile “Well, right know I’m going to do one” Did I just heard that right?
What happened next took Andrea completely by surprise. He got on one knee and pulled off a ring from his pocket. Andrea stared at him for miliseconds, not really sure what was going on. She then saw the ring, and… Please look at it by yourselves!
